Local History Group ~ Buckinghamshire Astronomers

Event Details

When researching for talks it was surprising to find the strong connections between several of the pioneers of British Astronomy and Buckinghamshire, many of which also made their discoveries whilst resident in the county.

Our speaker is Dr Mike Leggett, who is more than qualified to talk to us as a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, The British Interplanetary Society and the Society for the History of Astronomy.

We had an excellent turn out at our last meeting.  As always for non-members it’s just £4 at the door. This might be a useful talk for any science or history students.

Please arrive by 8:00 pm for a start at 8:15 pm.

Visitors always welcome: £4.00 per meeting.
Adult Membership: £10.00 per year.
Junior Membership (below school minimum leaving age): Free.

Coffee, tea and biscuits are served after the talks.
